Liz Mills, LMT

Liz is licensed to offer therapeutic touch as a massage therapist and bodyworker in North Carolina (License # 15449) and South Carolina (License #12050) and has been practicing her passion since 2010. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has worked in the fields of Education, Special Education and Mental Health.
Liz completed her massage training at Cortiva Institute of Massage, where she was also certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and Sports Massage. As she began in the practice of massage, Liz came to recognize the healing power of Universal Energy and through further study, she became a Reiki Master in 2013. Her massage practice combines her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, her ability to utilize universal energy and her years of hands-on experience in techniques such as prenatal, neuromuscular and myofascial therapy to provide a nurturing, healing experience for her clients. Through massage, Liz holds the intention of supporting the release of physical restrictions in the muscles and fascia and stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the body to open to the power of self-healing and the optimal state of harmony that our bodies are continuously seeking. Liz considers it an honor to offer her touch in assisting her clients in achieving this balance.
Yoga has been a vital part of her self-care practice for over 30 years and she became certified as an instructor through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2014 and has been teaching slow, gentle, mindful yoga and restorative practices since then. While recovering from a serious illness, Liz discovered the benefits of essential oils and after completing training as an Aromatherapist, she began sharing information on the safe and effective use of essential oils with clients and the community. Liz continues to study and teach energy healing and the use of ancient and complementary healing, including the practice of Qigong.
